Enhanced Passkey Support
Your accountholders should now see new options displayed when selecting their preferred passkey method (for logging in and completing high-risk actions), regardless of whether the current device natively supports built-in platform authenticators.
This change makes passkey functionality accessible to a wider range of users and their varying devices.
The original passkey implementation was primarily designed for built-in biometric authenticators and restricted the display of the passkey option to the same device where it was registered. That approach posed limitations for users who wished to manage multiple passkeys or access their accounts from various devices.
The new, refactored approach delivers a more flexible and user-friendly system, allowing users to register and manage multiple passkeys for their accounts – on Treasury Management (with Unified Identity Service) and Banno.
