Tap2Local™ Know & Tell
To round out the calendar year, we want to leave you with some Tap2Local takeaways you can carry into 2026. Be sure to click the links, as many of them open dialogs with more details.
Need to Know
Our new cloud-native, hardware-free payments solution, Tap2Local, integrates seamlessly with Banno and empowers SMB owners to accept debit and credit card payments in real time. Getting started is lightning quick, too. We’re seeing some merchants enabled in less than a minute from enrollment start!
Once enrolled, merchants will have three ways to facilitate payments, like we’ve seen already from wide-ranging businesses – from auto repair to home renovators to housekeeping to chiropractors and so many more. They will also benefit from true next-day card settlement and from automated reconciliation.
Next up, you need to know where you can tap into demos and details! Here’s your list of key documentation, demos, and webpages:
An industry-first offering like Tap2Local calls for additional touchpoints as you get rolling. We’ve got you covered with extensive Office Hours and special meetups, which we announce here in the Statement each month.
Should Know
The new Marketplace is live in Banno Admin, and you can now enroll in the Tap2Local Revenue Share! Just assign the Can modify contract permission to an approved user group, so an authorized decision-maker can execute the Revenue Share Agreement.
One question we hear often is, “What is the fee structure for Tap2Local?” Smart question. Here’s your detailed answer.
Nice to Know
Our team is continually improving the Tap2Local experience. Along with the Streamlined Merchant Support feature described above, we released a few other big wins this month:
- Faster Merchant Enrollment with Business Type Mapping
- Targeted Prompts through Class Codes Configuration
- New Tap2Local Campaign in Banno Marketing
- Streamlined Merchant Support
What will 2026 bring for Tap2Local? An even better, ever-improving user experience for your staff and merchants alike! We’re hearing all of your great ideas for additional features, and we already have numerous enhancements in the works. Let’s goooo!
